YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A deer broke into a charter school on Youngstown's west side, then ran away

Summit Academy students were outside of the building for a fire drill shortly after ten a.m. Monday when a deer jumped through a glass window.

Youngstown police were called to the school and were attempting to contact animal control officers.

However, after running through the window and onto the school's stage, the deer exited through an open door and ran away.

Summit Academy is located in the former St. Brendan's School on North Schenley Avenue.
