GIRARD, Ohio - The Girard football program is set to name their new head football coach. Superintendent Dave Capuezello tells 21 Sports that he'll recommend Pat Pearson for the board of education's approval

GIRARD, Ohio - The Girard football program is set to name their new head football coach.

Superintendent Dave Capuezello tells 21 Sports that he'll recommend Pat Pearson for the board of education's approval on Wednesday night.

Pearson was an assistant under Nick Cochran the past several seasons, and played for the Indians.

He was also an assistant at Youngstown State under Jon Heacock.

This will be Pearson's first head coaching job.
