First run movies to shake up Salem again
By this fall, people living around Salem won't have to drive to Boardman or Alliance to watch first run movies.

The former Salem Twin Cinema has new owners who plan several upgrades, including the installation of rumble seats, which allow theatre goers to feel sensations such as explosions by transmitting audio waves through the seat.
The Buta family also plans to install digital projectors, allowing the exhibition of a wide range of first run movies at the Salem Plaza location.
They hope to open the theatre in August or September.
The theatre, which was Salem's only first run movie house, has been shut down since this past fall.
