TROTWOOD, Ohio (AP) - The Rolling Stones performed there, a young Wayne Gretzky skated there and scores of pro wrestlers grappled there, too.

But the storied Hara Arena in suburban Dayton is facing smaller crowds and faded glory. The Dayton Daily News reports there are efforts underway to revitalize the half-century-old facility.

Karen Wampler is Hara's director of marketing and a part of one of its founding families. There is a move to restructure ownership in the hopes of a long-needed renovation.

She says Hara hosted 239 events last year and had an economic impact worth tens of millions of dollars.

But instead of major rock concerts and popular sporting events, its most popular events included a ham radio enthusiasts' gathering and a library book sale.
