Youngstown businesses grow together in shared space
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - On the fourth floor of the building at 16 Wick Avenue, different businesses are coming together in a unique way at Urban Office Space, created by the NYO Property Group.
"We offer a collaborative work space where people can share conference rooms, break room, co-work labs," said Kristopher North, with NYO Property Group.
So far, there are ten tenants here who also share receptionist services, WiFi and equipment for copying and scanning.
With rent only ranging between $200 to $350 per month, depending on the office suite, the start-up businesses here can focus on growing without worrying about the overhead costs.
Jonah and Justin Karzmer said they have been saving at least a $1,000 per month since starting their insurance agency here last summer.
"It really gave us the ability to move right in on day one into a space that could handle all of our potential needs. If we wanted to host a group, without us having to pay for that stuff up front, and redoing office space in the suburbs," said Jonah Karzmer.
Sharing space with other businesses is bringing more business to this marketing company.
"We have all referred each other. We have all become like a family and we pass each other's references on to all of our contacts. We can honestly say they are going to follow through and do a good job. So, it's been a great networking opportunity," said Sarra Mohn, with Jet Creative Productions.
There are still six spaces left at the Urban Office Space.
