Brookfield trucking firm plans hiring event

BROOKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A growing local trucking company in need of more drivers is planning a hiring event next month.
Nick Strimbu currently employs 90 drivers who transport cargo as varied as pipe, steel, lumber, machinery and refrigerated foods.
Company officials say that due to customer demand they have ordered new Peterbilt trucks which they expect to arrive by the beginning of summer.
As a result, they'll have an immediate need to add fifteen new drivers.
Strimbu is looking for owner operators or experienced drivers with a commercial driver license.
The two-day fleet expansion hiring event will be held on Friday, May 8, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Strimbu corporate offices in Brookfield on the corner of state Routes. 82 and 7 in Brookfield.
