Police say that shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday they received information from a First National Bank security officer that a bomb threat had been directed toward an unspecified FNB branch.
As a precaution the FNB branches in Hermitage Square and the Town Plaza were evacuated, as well as the Walmart which has an FNB branch inside. Dogs were brought in to conduct searches of the branches.
After the searches were completed, the branches and the Walmart opened again.
Police say the threats were also directed toward FNB banks in Somerset and Fayette Counties.
