Authorities converged on an apartment complex Friday morning looking for a suspected drug dealer.

Police raided the Shields Road apartment around 9 a.m. 

Boardman Police Chief Jack Nichols said authorities obtained a search warrant after conducting surveillance for two to three weeks on the complex.

Jose Valentin III, 20, was arrested on charges of trafficking cocaine and endangering children.

Valentin is being held in Mahoning County jail awaiting pretrial.

Nichols said a woman was also at the apartment, but she was not arrested because she was caring for a child.
