A group of students are being questioned by the Champion School Resource Officer following a threat that caused a lockdown at the high school for the second time in a month.
Superintendent Pamela Hood tells 21 News that police were contacted after the words “Blow up Champion” were found written on a bathroom wall at around 12:30 p.m.
The school was placed on lockdown for about an hour and parents were notified according to Hood.
Hood says a group of students were recorded on surveillance camera going into the restroom.
She says the students had also signed out a permission sheet to use the restroom.
Classes resumed after authorities swept the building.
Just last month, two students were arrested at the high school after the same words found written on a bathroom wall.
The school was locked down then as well. Once again, authorities found nothing.
The two students later confessed to being behind the hoax.
