YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - After two months of negotiations, 600 employees at St. Elizabeth's main campus have approved a new three year contract with the hospital.
Business manager of the Teamsters Local 377, Bobbi Terwrilliger, says the new contract was overwhelmingly passed by union members Wednesday.
The new contract includes wage increases each year for the next three years, as well as health benefits and more job security.
The contract will cover service employees ranging from environmental specialists, maintenance workers, secretaries and healthcare aids.
The wage increase will not be disclosed until the hospital ratifies the final steps.
