STONEBORO, Pa. - The Mercer County Antique Power Association 24th Annual Antique Tractor and Engine Show begins today and runs through Sunday, July 24 at the Stoneboro Fairgrounds on Route 62 in Stoneboro, PA.

There are plenty of events from an expanded flea market to saw mill demonstrations, tractor pulls to blue grass music, and a childrens' play area.

New this year, an old style pitcher pumps race to see whose rubber duck wins.

Other daily events include antique equipment demonstrations including a 15 hp Bessemer stationary engine, a threshing machine, a stationary hay press and a sawmill.

Breakfast will be available Friday-Sunday from 7:00 a.m. -10:00 a.m. and there will be fair food throughout the day from hot sausage to ma and pa's kettle corn, pumpkin funnel cakes, Mandy Moos ice cream, Stoneboro VFD french fries, and Sandy Lake VFD fish sandwiches, and open fire cooked barbecue ribs.

Returning this year is the Bluegrass Festival, held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a different band playing every 45 minutes. .

This annual show draws over 300 tractors and engines displays and will feature tractors produced by Allis-Chalmers and Fairbanks Morse engines. Various tractor pulls will be held during the show. At 6:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday evenings, there will be antique tractor classes available for club members and those exhibiting the featured Allis-Chalmers tractors.

Starting at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, another antique tractor pull will be held that is open to anyone who wishes to participate. Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m., the Allegheny Highland Pulling Association will put on a garden tractor pull.

Sunday will begin with a musical church service by Dan Schall at 9 a.m.

The afternoon will feature a car cruise-in for anyone wishing to bring their classic or custom automobiles to display.

The cruise-in will include door prizes and music by DJ Rick Armour.

The gates will open to the public Thursday at 5 p.m. and the show runs through Sunday.

Admission is $3.00 per day, children 12 and under are free. Sunday admission is free for everyone. Camping is available on site.
