BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - A restaurant chain with locations all around the world says it plans to hire between 20 and 25 people when it opens along South Avenue in Boardman.

The Panda Express  will open on Windham Court across from O'Charley's in late September, according to company officials.

Panda Express says it is America’s largest family-owned Chinese restaurant with more than 30,000 employees and 1,900 locations around the world.

They describe their menu as American Chinese, which includes dishes such as orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp and shanghai angus steak.

The company says that when it considers new locations such as Boardman, they look for areas that have a good population and have a regional retail draw.

According to a news release from the chain, they also consider the number of office and industrial workers in the area.

This will be the first Panda Express in the Valley.

Restuarants were recently opened in South Euclid and North Canton and other sites are under construction in Mentor and Avon, as well as towards the Toledo area.
