Oh Wow! Children's Center awarded six-figure grant
The Roger & Gloria Jones Children's Center for Science & Technology (OH WOW!) received a six-figure check on Sunday.
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Roger & Gloria Jones Children's Center for Science & Technology (OH WOW!) received a six-figure check on Sunday.
Center President Suzanne Barbati says the check was part of a $172,304 grant from the Youngstown Foundation's Hine Memorial Fund.
The money, according to Barbati, will be put towards funding new exhibits at the Science and Technology center.
Barbati accepted the check alongside Hine Memorial Fund Program Coordinator Crissi Jenkins as well as Oh Wow! board members Yvonne Lipinsky and Ellie Platt.
The Federal Street science center has been open since 2011.
