ODOT closing Route 88 causeway today through Friday
The 2,600 drivers who cross the Route 88 causeway over the Mosquito Reservoir each day will have to find a detour this week.
BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, Ohio - The 2,600 drivers who cross the Route 88 causeway over the Mosquito Reservoir each day will have to find a detour this week.
The Ohio Department of Transportation says it is closing State Route 88 over the causeway in Bristol and Mecca Townships for bridge repairs beginning today, and lasting through Friday.
The detour is State Route 45 to State Route 87 to State Route 46.
At the same time, ODOT says that State Route 88 between State Route 45 and State Route 46 has various lane restrictions for resurfacing.
The work is part of a $2.5 million resurfacing project.
The project also includes minor bridge repairs and the resurfacing of various areas within Mosquito Lake State Park.
The entire project is scheduled to be completed by mid-October.
