Mooney hosts Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony today
Cardinal Mooney will become an Official High School of the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Wednesday, thanks to one of it's famous alumni.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Cardinal Mooney will become an Official High School of the Pro Football Hall of Fame today, thanks to one of its famous alumni.
1964 Mooney graduate Eddie DeBartolo, Jr. will be at Mooney to present the school with a plaque from the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Ford Motor Company.
Hometown Hall of Famer is a national program that honors the hometown roots of the standouts of the game with special ceremonies and plaque dedication events.
DeBartolo, Jr., a native of Youngstown, was one of eight people inducted this year into the Hall of Fame's Class of 2016.
During DeBartolo, Jr.'s 23-year tenure as owner of the San Francisco 49ers, the franchise won five Super Bowl championships, and played in 10 championship games, won 13 division titles and made 16 playoff appearances.
The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Cardinal Mooney High School gymnasium.
