The non-emergency phone line for the Austintown Police Department is in service again after it went down for a short period of time Monday night.

Police say the phone company had the line working again just after midnight, making the line unusable for less than an hour. 

Those who need to reach the police in a non-emergency are no longer asked to call 911.
