Valley Red Hatters collect for hurricane victims
An organization of women known for wearing colorful hats during their gatherings is also known for its charitable endeavors.

LIBERTY TWP, Ohio - An organization of women known for wearing colorful hats during their gatherings is also known for its charitable endeavors.
The latest cause taken up by the International Red Hat Society is collecting items needed by victims of recent hurricanes.
The society has established 12 drop off sites for donations as well as a distribution center at Northwood Center, 1601 Motor Inn Drive, Suite 150 in Liberty Township.
Red Hatters, as well as volunteers from Trumbull County, will be there to sort and pack donations into boxes to be shipped to Texas and eventually Florida.
Items that are needed are:
- Personal care items (especially travel sizes) must be sealed
- Shampoo
- Body wash/soap
- Toothpaste/brushes/floss
- Shaving items (no aerosol cans, please
- Feminine hygiene products
- Bottled water
- Trash bags
- Baby formula
- Dish soap
- Diapers/wipes
- Washcloths (new)
- Fast Food Gift Cards
- Towels (new)
- Empty gas cans
- Blankets (new)
- Gas Gift Cards
- Clothing (new)
- Paper Towels
- Canned goods (with good expiration dates)
- Sponges
Due to regulations about the transport of chemicals, no cleaning supplies will be collected.
