YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown police have cited the driver of a car that crashed into a pole and a tree on the city's West Side Tuesday night.

Anthony Tountas, 25, of Youngstown is to appear in municipal court to answer charges of OVI, failure to control his vehicle and driving with an expired license.

Police say Tountas was driving the car that crashed at the corner of North Wendover Circle and Oran Drive at around 7:30 p.m.

The investigating officer said that Tountas was in the front seat and a passenger was passed out in the rear seat of the car.

Police administered the opiate overdose reversal drug Narcan to the passenger to wake him up.

Tountas told police he didn't do drugs but was arrested after an officer administered a field sobriety test.

According to the police report, Tountas has six license suspensions, four of them for drugs.

Both men were taken to Mercy Health. Hospital officials told police that Tountas left without receiving treatment.
