YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Tinted windows and a drug-sniffing dog helped lead Youngstown Police to the discovery of a gun, pills as well as suspected heroin and crack cocaine.

An officer pulled over a Dodge Ram onWest Avondale Avenue Thursday afternoon and found that the window tinting only transmitted 30% of the light instead of the 50% required by law.

According to the report, after a YPD K9 sniffed around the vehicle, police conducted a search which turned up a baggie of crack cocaine, a baggie of suspected powdered cocaine, two baggies of suspected heroin, several pills, a loaded handgun, digital scales, and $1,190.

The driver, 35-year-old Maurice Morris of Youngstown was booked into the county jail on drug possession, drug paraphernalia, and weapons charges.

Police also issued Morris a traffic ticket for the window tint violation.
