ODOT: 680 northbound opening delayed
The month-long detour for thousands of drivers around northbound I-680 in Youngstown will be a few days longer than originally announced.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The month-long detour for thousands of drivers around northbound I-680 in Youngstown will be a few days longer than originally announced.
Brent Kovacs of the Ohio Department of Transportation tells 21 News that the highway is scheduled to re-open Monday afternoon, instead of 5 p.m. Saturday as originally announced.
I-680 northbound between the U.S. Route 62 Hubbard exit and Edwards Street has been closed since July 10 for bridge repairs.
The roadwork is part of a $9.7 million project to repair 12 bridges over four years, along I-680 between SR 711 to just south of US 224.
ODOT plans to eventually close the ramp from 711 southbound to I-680 for approximately 9 months. There's no update on when that closure is slated to begin.
The entire bridge repair plan is scheduled to be completed in 2021.
