What is typically Chris and Cheryl Gallagher's open landscape on Logan Way in Liberty Township.
"The place looks like a war zone out here," he described.
Now large tree limbs from seven to eight trees that were uprooted or split in half litter the property.
"Out front the one is actually twisted it. It looks like something twisted it and rung it and snapped it off, it's not like it folded over or broke off," he said.
The couple was inside Monday evening when they heard the wind and saw the rain out their windows.
"Then we noticed tree debris and branches and stuff flying past the house sideways. So we're both looking backing away from the windows and we're like what the heck is going on and then we heard this loud thump sound like boom."
They are now faced with cleaning up the trees, and also water that's leaking into their living room.
"A lot of ponding of water in flood prone areas," explained Tim Monroe, Liberty Township Road Department Interim Senior Road Foreman.
The water also caused problems on roads turning Roosevelt Drive into a river but by 8:30 p.m. most of the water had receded.
Roosevelt Drive and Hadley Avenue both had trees down and severe flooding.
"It was the systems were overwhelmed with the amount of rain in the period of time we had," Monroe said.
There were trees down across Liberty Township and some on power lines, like the one on Logan Way, that were causing power lines to arc.
Country Club Drive in Liberty was closed because a pole and wires were knocked down across the roadway.
