Mercer County man accused of trying to strangle sister
Pennsylvania State Police have charged 28-year-old Travis Schwab and his sister, 19-year-old Torilyn Schwab after investigators say an argument between the two turned violent.

JACKSON TWP., Mercer Co., Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police have charged 28-year-old Travis Schwab and his sister, 19-year-old Torilyn Schwab after investigators say an argument between the two turned violent.
Pennsylvania State police were dispatched the night of August 31 after employees at the Sunoco gas station on Franklin Road in Jackson Center reported the mother and daughter who live next door were fighting in the parking lot.
According to police reports, officers went to the nearby home and arrested the daughter, Torilyn Schwab, who was in possession of what was later identified as heroin.
While in custody, Torilyn told police that around 8:00 p.m. she and her brother were arguing before he came downstairs and slammed her against a wall.
Her brother, Travis Schwab, allegedly proceeded to punch her multiple times before attempting to pull her up the stairs by her hair and strangle her.
After this report, Torilyn was released from police custody, and officers returned to the house.
According to police, they took Travis, who was in possession of a glass smoking device, into custody.
Both siblings are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, September 26.
