BUTLER, Pa. - A Grove City man has died after he crashed his motorcycle in Butler Township Wednesday.

Butler Township police said 23-year-old John Ficca lost control of his motorcycle around 9:15 p.m. on Crisswell Road. 

Ficca then struck a ditch and a drainage pipe, according to police.

He was treated at the scene for head injuries and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Police said Ficca later had to be flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital where he died Thursday evening.

The accident is still under investigation.
