Police investigate after alleged threat made towards Brookfield football game
Police are investigating after an alleged threat was made towards a Brookfield Local Schools sporting event.

BROOKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Police are investigating after an alleged threat was made towards a Brookfield Local Schools sporting event.
Brookfield Police Chief Dan Faustino said there may have been a threat of violence made towards the halftime show during Friday's football game.
The chief said officers worked with the superintendent and were not able to substantiate a threat.
Brookfield Local Schools' Superintendent Velina Taylor told 21 News it all began when she received a message from a board member around 4:30 p.m. Friday.
The board member told Taylor that someone in the community said that something was going to allegedly happen during the school's "Lights Out" halftime show.
In response, the lights that were supposed to be turned off during the show were left on and there was an increased police presence at the game.
Faustino and Taylor said they are still investigating but have found no evidence of a threat.
According to Taylor, the school will continue to follow up on any leads as the police department continues its investigation.
Taylor said community members should immediately report any sort of threat anyone may hear to the school.
