WASHINGTON - A popular frozen spinach product has been recalled due to a possible Listeria contamination.

According to the release, Sprouts Farmers Market has recalled ts Frozen Cut Leaf Spinach conventional and organic 16oz bags.

Listeria can potentially cause serious and sometimes fatal infections to children and the elderly.

The release says Listeria infections can cause high fevers, severe headaches and abdominal pain in healthy individuals.

Pregnant women could potentially suffer a miscarriage or stillbirth if they contract Listeria.

According to the release, no illnesses have been reported at this time.

The release says that the product was sold in Pennsylvania.
