NEWTON FALLS, Ohio - Getting supplies to some remote locations can be a challenge, but training was held by the National Guard in Newton Falls to attack these obstacles.

According to the Army website, the National Guard trained for those situations by attaching vital equipment to the bottom of helicopters.

Attaching the supplies to the underside of the helicopter helps bypass land obstacles.

More than 70 soldiers from the Ohio National Guard and some members from the Michigan National Guard participated in the training.

The soldiers practiced preparing military equipment and attaching it to helicopters.

The instructors were also Ohio Army National Guard members that learned the skills through training and experience.
