Mom-son duo arrested for not following orders after Warren crash, police say

WARREN, Ohio - What could have ended in just a citation for a crash, landed a mom and son in the Trumbull County Jail after an officer says they did not follow orders.
The son, 20-year-old Juvar King, Jr., was in an accident on Monday around 12:50 p.m. in the area of Tod Avenue and Union Street, according to a police report.
The officer says his family arrived and started to question everything he was doing, including 41-year-old Michele Watson who was told several times to get out of the road, the report said.
The officer placed King in a cruiser to issue him a citation.
According to the officer, Watson started to challenge him again and demanded to see her son. The officer says he explained to her that her son had refused medical help, and he was an adult. He says Watson continued to walk towards the cruiser.
The officer told Waston she was under arrest and put her in handcuffs. That's when King started to kick at the door of the cruiser, trying to get out, according to the report.
Watson was placed in another cruiser, and the officer says he tried to place King in handcuffs, but he refused, arguing the whole time.
King faces a charge of vandalism for damage to the cruiser door as well as a resisting arrest charge.
Watson was booked on a resisting arrest charge.
