AUSTINTOWN TWP., Ohio - Austintown police are hoping DNA and surveillance video will lead them to the two men who robbed the Dollar General store on South Raccoon Road.

Two employees told police that they were still outside the store when two armed men wearing masks confronted them.

According to the police report, the men ordered the employees to go inside where they not only took money from the safe but ordered the employees to empty their pockets, taking $25 from one of the workers.

One of the robbers also grabbed a pack of Black and Mild cigars and a lighter from the shelf.

Even though one of the suspects smashed a computer monitor in the backroom, the robbery was caught on surveillance video, which police are reviewing.

Also, detectives found a cigarette that one of the men had thrown on the floor. The cigarette will be tested for DNA evidence.

Police searched apartments in the neighborhood around the store but did not locate the suspects.

Both suspects are described as black males wearing a mask, gloves, and black jackets.

One of the suspects was wearing white Nike shoes, black Nike sweat pants, and was carrying a tan handgun.

The other suspect was wearing black shoes, blue sweat pants, and carried a black handgun.
