BOARDMAN, Ohio - A building in Boardman that once saw crowds of holiday shoppers will likely see crowds of bargain hunters beginning this weekend.

Bin Voyage, a discount bin store with stores in Trumbull county, plans to open another location on Saturday at the old Toys R Us on Route 224 just west of Boardman Township Park.

Owner Thomas Moore, who is also the president of Infinity Remarketing Services, said on any given day, you can find a wide variety of items for as little as a dollar, depending on the day.

Moore explained that he contracts with major retailers for inventory, which he is then responsible for, whether it sells or not.

The items that don't sell for the major retailers become "overstock" items that Moore can sell for a fraction of their retail value.

As a result, on any given day in a Bin Voyage store, you may find items like laptops, authentic sports jerseys, and designer purses, which are never priced any higher than $10, says Moore.

The biggest crowds show up on Saturday when the stores are replenished, and prices start at $10. From there, they decrease each day, on down to Friday, when everything in the store is $1.

Moore, who says he hopes to open a fifth location in the Austintown Plaza in the near future, is still hiring employees for the new Boardman store.

Store hours are Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday noon to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Boardman Toys R Us closed in 2018 and was briefly occupied by a Spirit of Halloween store.
