JEFFERSON TWP., Mercer Co., Pa. - A Mercer County man who was target shooting faces charges after a neighbor says he fired a shot that struck his home.

According to state police, a 73-year-old Jefferson Township man was outside his Ball Park Road home Saturday afternoon when a bullet hit the front of his home about 16 feet from where he had been tending to his flower bed.

Police say the man’s 46-year-old neighbor had been target practicing on nearby Charleston Road without a proper backstop and will face charges.
