Boardman high school holds graduation at Spartan Stadium

The Boardman High School Class of 2020 finally got the chance to walk and get their diplomas.
A hybrid commencement ceremony was held Sunday for the graduating seniors.
First, commencement speakers were streamed live online, and then students traveled to the Spartan Football Stadium to get their diplomas one-at-a-time.
Around 40 staff members were there to make sure everything ran smoothly.
"Educators today have to be very nimble. We have to be ready to adjust and to change plans, so we really tried to wait things out as much as possible, and to see how far the opening process was going to go and permit us to do something that would be meaningful for our kids," said Cynthia Fernback, the Boardman high school principal.
There were over 300 seniors who came out.
