Crews shut down part of Route 46 in Howland early Thursday after a truck pulled down some wires.

HOWLAND, Ohio - Crews shut down part of Route 46 in Howland early Thursday after a truck pulled down some wires and a utility pole.
As of noon Thursday, the road is back open.
The truck and the driver were trapped beneath the wires along the northbound lane of Route 46 near North River Road shortly before 7 am.
First responders from Bazetta and Howland Townships were both on the scene.
At one point FirstEnergy reported more than 1,000 power outages in the area.
Almost all the outages have been restored.
No injuries were reported.
The Ohio State Patrol is investigating.
The road remained closed in front of Mercy Health at 8 am.
