AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - A fight at an Austintown bar left one man in critical condition.

According to the report, a large fight broke out at Shotz Bar on Oakwood Avenue on July 11 shortly after midnight.

Police say a man could be seen being choked by a white male during the melee before being thrown to the ground and kicked multiple times in the head.

The person of interest allegedly came back into the bar multiple times and punched the victim.

A witness at the scene said another white male brandished a gun while at the bar shortly after the fight before leaving the scene in a two-door gray pickup truck.

Police say they were able to get still shots from the surveillance footage of the suspect with the gun.

The victim was taken to the hospital and had surgery for a severe brain bleed that he sustained in the fight.

Officers say the victim is in critical condition and had to have part of his skull removed to stop the bleeding.

The names of the suspects have not been released at this time.
