BOARDMAN, Ohio - A Youngstown man is facing charges after allegedly stabbing a man at a Boardman apartment.

According to the report, 32-year-old Orlando Matos-Carrillo was involved in an altercation with another man that led to the stabbing.

The alleged incident occurred on Thursday morning at an apartment on the 3900 block of S. Schenley Avenue.

Police arrived on the scene and found a man with stab wounds to his left arm, back of his neck, and left thigh.

The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown for treatment.

According to the report, the victim's girlfriend had refused to take him to the hospital. Officers also found blood in the hallway of the apartment building, a small amount of blood on an air mattress, and cleaning supplies. Officers say the apartment was cleaned before they arrived.

Matos-Carrillo was arrested Saturday on felonious assault charges following a traffic stop in Lordstown.

During the arrest, Matos-Carrillo claimed to have been stabbed by the victim and showed officers two puncture wounds on his right knee.

He also had scratches and marks on his neck, back, arms, and hands.

Matos-Carrillo was taken to the Mahoning County Jail and will appear in court Tuesday morning.
