NILES, Ohio - A Trumbull County Church is set to begin work on their new place of worship Monday.

Dozens of people gathered to worship Sunday at Labrae High School.

It's where Grace Fellowship Church is temporarily holding its services, after moving out of the Eastwood Mall Complex because TJ Maxx moved in.

They've made a rather significant investment.

Zack Potter Associate Pastor at the church said, "WE JUST NEEDED A CHURCH HOME. AN ACTUAL PLACE WE COULD CALL HOME. SO WE PURCHASED THE FORMER MCMENeMY'S BUILDING. RIGHT THERE, WE ARE CALLING IT 'THE 325' BECAUSE IT'S THE START OF THE ADDRESS 325 YOUNGSTOWN WARREN ROAD IS THE ADDRESS THERE."

The $3.8 million project will take 12 to 14 months to complete.

Church members say it will be worth the wait.

"YEAH, WE HAVE BEEN WAITING A LONG TIME IT SEEMS LIKE. BUT YOU KNOW IT'S ALL IN GODS TIMING."

"OUR LEADERS AND OUR PASTORS HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB."

A long time coming, but a permanent place of worship is on the horizon.

"I'M JUST EXCITED FOR OUR PEOPLE, THEY HAVE PLAYED SUCH A HUGE PART IN MAKING THIS HAPPEN, AND THEY'RE GOING TO BE ABLE TO SEE WITH EYES WHAT THEY HAVE INVESTED IN BEFORE THEY CAN EVEN SEE IT AND ITS INCREDIBLE TO SEE, " said Potter.

Worship services will continue taking place at Labre High School on the weekends until the new space is finished.
