TRANSFER, Pa. - Strong winds and storms Sunday afternoon caused major damage at the Reynolds Drive-In on North Hermitage Road in Transfer, PA.

The big screen was knocked over by the wind and the building underneath the screen was destroyed.

"The screen and the building underneath the screen was just an open area, electric and stuff like that. it was all hollow in the center. But that whole building is destroyed," said co-owner  Stephanie Davis.

After being closed for 6 years, the drive-in re-opened this year drawing in crowds for live entertainment.

"It's a hard pill to swallow. We had a really good year, tried to get it back. We just got the projector and now this."

Davis said her family will discuss what their plan is moving forward once they assess all of the damage.
