Austintown student accused of posting threats, pictures with guns to school computer

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Austintown Police are investigating after an Austintown Middle School student allegedly made threats of shooting people.
According to the report, a 12-year-old male student posted a Google slide on his AMS Chromebook that showed him holding handguns and making threats to students.
Police say the suspect said in one threat that he always carries a handgun and would have no problem "popping" a slug in someone's face. He also allegedly said that he would kill someone to get into a gang.
Reports say officers spoke with the suspect at his aunt's house where he told officers that he did post the pictures and that the guns were BB guns.
The suspect told police that the threats were just ramblings that he said due to current problems with his step father.
Police took two BB guns from the suspect and the child is staying with other family members for the time being.
