WARREN, Ohio - The people behind what has become a summer entertainment tradition in the Valley have revealed concerts planned this season as the Covid-19 pandemic lingers on.

Sunrise Entertainment revealed the schedule for this year’s River Rock at the Amp at a Wednesday news conference.

The 2021 season begins Saturday, May 29, and concludes Saturday, August 28. River Rock at the Amp presents tribute and cover bands that span classic rock, country, funk, disco and pop genres.

The acts range from local talent to international acclaim. The first of 28 scheduled performances include the Fleetwood Mac Experience opening for Straight On, a tribute to the music of Heart.

Other bands will pay tribute to the Eagles, Bob Seger, Pat Benatar, Journey, the Pretenders, Foreigner, Queen, Van Halen, Chicago, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffet and more.

River Rock concerts take the stage rain or shine. Gates open at 5 p.m. for every event.

Tickets are $8, $10 or $12. Children 12 and under are admitted free with an adult.

Last year’s performances at the Warren Amphitheater were canceled because of state-mandated health restrictions for social distancing.

Earlier this week, promoters announced that the already rescheduled May 30 Y-Live Luke Bryan outdoor concert at Stambaugh Stadium had been canceled again this year because of crowd size restrictions still in place.
