STRUTHERS, Ohio - A Boardman woman is facing charges after allegedly stalking a man for a number of months.

According to the report, the first instance of stalking came in November 2020 when 46-year-old Laura Buckley allegedly continued to send text messages to the man after he told her that he wanted to end their friendship.

The next incident occurred on March 6, 2021 where the male victim's girlfriend had her car keyed. Reports say the victim also found a GPS tracking device underneath the car.

Police say the man's girlfriend and her children began to receive harassing texts from Buckley after Thanksgiving 2020.

On March 20, 2021, Struthers police received another call regarding the stalking incident. Officers on scene found a tracking device on the male victim's car. Reports say the man told police that Buckley drives by his house frequently and sits near the house to observe it.

Reports say Buckley placed Ring doorbells on a house across the street from the victim to monitor him. That home is a rental owned by the male victim and Buckley allegedly befriended the resident and offered to watch the kids there.

Officers obtained a search warrant on March 20 and searched a home on the 4000 block of Hudson Drive in Boardman. During the search, police say Buckley denied stalking the victims and said she had no knowledge of the GPS devices.

During the search, a cell phone, a box with GPS trackers and chargers, computers and SD cards were taken among other items. Buckley was placed under arrest for menacing by stalking and was taken to the hospital for health issues.

Another report was filed on April 3 after Buckley was allegedly parked near the victim's home. She allegedly told police that she was baby sitting in the area and had parked there to avoid the victim.

Menacing by stalking and criminal damaging charges were filed against Buckley Tuesday. She was released from the Mahoning County Jail Wednesday.
