COLUMBUS, Ohio - Vaccinated Ohioans have the opportunity to become a millionaire in the coming weeks.

Governor Mike DeWine announced drawings for vaccinated Ohioans over the age of 18 that will start on May 26th and continue for five weeks.

Each drawing winner will get $1 million.

To be eligible, adults must have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine before the drawing and be at least 18 years old.

Governor DeWine said the state will use Ohio's voter database to collect the names for the drawings. Those not in the voter database can sign up through a webpage that will be made available in the near future.

The Ohio Department of Health will sponsor the drawings, which will be conducted by the Ohio Lottery.

The drawing prizes are being funded through federal coronavirus relief funding.

DeWine says more information on the million-dollar drawings will be made available in the coming days.

A separate drawing for children between the ages of 12 and 17 will also be held on May 26th.
