YOUNGSTOWN -  Following a multi-agency investigation, a federal grand jury has returned a 16-count indictment charging six people from the Valley area for their roles in a methamphetamine drug trafficking conspiracy.

Named in the indictment are Neil R. Dye, 36, currently an inmate at the Trumbull Correctional Institution; Jaclyn L. Szachury, 35, imprisoned at Ohio Reformatory for Women; Mary E. Clearwater, 39, of Warren, Michael A. Lee, 29, currently incarcerated at Grafton Correctional Institute; Courtney P. Wilson, 30, of Youngstown, and Timothy M. Lowery, 33 of Warren.

According to the indictment, between July 2019 through December 2020, the six allegedly worked together to distribute methamphetamine in communities throughout Northern Ohio.

Investigators say Dye and Szachury provided methamphetamine to Clearwater, who in turn provided the drugs to Lee, Wilson, and Lowery for further distribution to others in the Valley.

On several occasions, the group is accused of selling methamphetamine to confidential FBI sources.  In total, the group is accused of distributing at least 500 grams of methamphetamine.

In addition to the drug trafficking charges, Defendant LOWERY is also charged with possessing an unregistered firearm.

The indictment is the result of an investigation by the FBI, the Mahoning Valley Violent Crimes Task Force, the Trumbull Action Group Drug Task Force, the Warren PD Street Crimes Unit, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and the Summit County Drug Unit.
