YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A child that was missing in Youngstown has been found.

Gage Wymer was found around 9:20 a.m on Detroit Avenue, two blocks away from his home.

A community member found Wymer asleep on a porch.

A family member told 21 News reporter Malaynia Spiva that Wymer is being evaluated by medical personnel but appears to be fine.

Police had been searching for the missing 5-year-old child since the early morning hours.

Youngstown police say Wymer went missing sometime between midnight and 2:00 AM Saturday in the area of Palmer Avenue on the city's south side.

His parents say they were camping in their backyard when Wymer went missing.

Police were on scene since Saturday morning and had been going door to door looking for the boy.

Youngstown police K9s searched the area and Austintown police had their drone helping with the search.

Officers also looked in Pemberton Park and a nearby body of water this morning.

Wymer is non-verbal due to a medical condition.
