Suspect in 100 mph chase from Lisbon to Austintown escapes hospital

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - State troopers are on the lookout for the suspect involved in a high speed chase Thursday afternoon.
They said 41-year-old Daniel Dicks of Warren, seen above in a previous mugshot, was one of two people charged after leading troopers and police on a chase that resulted in two separate crashes.
Two troopers tried to talk to Dicks during a traffic stop just north of the Columbiana County line in Beaver Township, but he fled, according to troopers.
A pursuit then ensued where Dicks traveled at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour on State Route 11 and Interstate 680.
Troopers said he crashed into two vehicles and eventually became disabled in a ditch.
Dicks was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown where troopers said he then escaped.
He is facing charges of fleeing, OVI and traffic violations.
His passenger was also charged.
No one was hurt in the two crashes.
