WARREN, Ohio - A Warren man tells police he was shot while walking his dog outside his home.

Officers were called to Trumbull Regional Medical Center Wednesday afternoon where a 35-year-old man was being treated for a gunshot wound to the knee.

The man told police he and his dog were on a sidewalk outside his Lerner Avenue SW home when he heard four or five pops that sounded like firecrackers.

The man said he was wounded in the knee and drove himself to the hospital.

He told police he didn’t see who fired the shots.

Police searched the neighborhood but couldn’t find any shell casings.
