YOUNGSTOWN - It was a mixed bag of news for Downtown Youngstown’s premier outdoor entertainment venue.

On Sunday, management of the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre reported that Tuesday’s scheduled performance of the band, Counting Crows has been postponed.

According to a notice posted on the venue’s Facebook page, there has been a confirmed COVID-19 case within the Counting Crows touring party.

 As a precaution, the August 10 performance is being postponed to a later date. Fans have been advised to retain their tickets which will be honored for the new date once announced. 

The entire band and crew have been vaccinated according to the post.

Later Sunday, JAC Management announced that the amphitheater saw record-breaking attendance as Nelly performed at the theater.

More than 4,000 people passed through the gates according to JAC.
