POLAND, Ohio - Poland students may start the school year a little later than originally expected.

The Poland Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday to address the possibility of pushing back the first day of class.

The school district will be evaluating the construction projects at the meeting and will assess if schools will be ready by the planned first day of instruction on August 23.

Board members will decide if there will be a delay based on a presentation of the completed projects during the meeting.

The demolition of Baird Mitchell Stadium is one of four projects that are scheduled to finish up this week.
