CANFIELD, Ohio - Rock band Theory has canceled their performance at the Canfield Fair scheduled for Monday, Sept. 6. 

The band released a statement on Thursday announcing that due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, the band will be canceling the remainder of their September performances including their appearance at the Canfield Fair.

Theory was set to open for rock band Shinedown on Monday, Sept. 6. As of now, Shinedown is still set to perform at the fair. According to the Canfield Fair's Facebook page, a new opening act will be announced soon.

Tickets are non-refundable at this time due to Theory not being the headlining act and will only be refundable if Shinedown cancels as well. 

The Canfield Fair will run from Wednesday, Sept. 1 to Monday, Sept. 6.
