A Mercer County man was killed in a single-car crash Wednesday morning.

According to the report, 51-year-old Paul Molloy was driving on Interstate 79 North near Fox Mine Road in Jackson Township, Mercer County around 6:43 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle.

State Police say Molloy lost control of the car because of the wet roadway and rain coming down in the area.

Molloy's car went off the right side of the road and traveled approximately 150 feet before hitting trees and coming to a stop.

Multiple airbags were deployed in the crash and Molloy was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was wearing his seat belt during the crash.
