YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Mahoning Valley College Access Program unveiled a new name on Friday: "MyPath Mahoning Valley."

The new name and logo were both unveiled at a briefing for local media and MyPath supporters. The name change is to reflect the expanding scope of its service to local high school students.

The program was established in 2001 with the mission of helping more local students access financial aid for college. In recent years, MyPath has broadened its work to help high school students prepare for whichever pathways they choose.

MyPath serves students at five local high schools including East, Chaney, Rayen Early College, Warren Harding and Campbell Memorial.

MyPath is headquartered in the Warren City Schools offices and has student advisors on site at all five schools it serves. The advisors are hired through the AmeriCorps program.
