YSU vs. Indiana State Saturday at 1 p.m. on WBCB

WBCB, The Valley's CW, will televise the Missouri Valley Football Conference game between Youngstown State University and Indiana State University this Saturday, October 23, 2021. The game will begin at 1:00 p.m., live from Terre Haute, Indiana.
Indiana State (3-4, 1-3 MVFC) is coming off a 37-7 loss at Missouri State last week. YSU (2-3, 1-1) was idle last week but upset then #15 Missouri State, 41-33, on Homecoming at Stambaugh Stadium on October 9.
YSU is led by head coach Doug Phillips who is in his second season. ISU's head coach, Curt Mallory, is in his fifth.
The teams first played in 1988, with YSU holding a 22-7 lead in the series. The Sycamores beat the Penguins, 24-17, in Terre Haute in 2019. They did not meet in the spring season earlier this year.
YSU's dynamic backfield duo of RB Jaleel McLaughlin and QB Demeatric Crenshaw continue to fuel a potent running attack. McLaughlin's 117.6 yards per game ranks 2nd in the MVFC, while Crenshaw's 97.4 places 3rd. As a team, YSU is 2nd with 248.0 rushing yards per contest. Indiana State QB Anthony Thompson is 10th in the conference in total offense with 135.4 yards per game.
